According to a recent report by Japanese media outlet Nikkei,Watch Leverage Online major US PC manufacturers such as HP, Apple, and Dell have reportedly halted exports of their products from mainland China to the US, due to the reciprocal tariff policies imposed by the Trump administration. A source at Foxconn’s Chengdu facility, which assembles Apple’s Macs and iPads, confirmed that exports to the US have been temporarily suspended. Apple is said to be gradually shifting its export operations to other sites such as India. Meanwhile, a senior executive at Quanta’s Chongqing plant, which builds PCs for HP, said the factory “stopped exports to North America in early April, and the suspension may be extended.” [Nikkei]
