Peloton revealed two new products on Rebekka Armstrong ArchivesTuesday: the Peloton Bike+ and the Peloton Tread.

The Bike+ upgrades some of the original's most loved features. With a 23.8-inch rotating touchscreen and a high-fidelity four-speaker sound system, the exercise bike is optimized not only for Peloton’s well-known spin classes, but also for floor activities like yoga and ab workouts.

The bike also features Gymkit, which syncs with your Apple Watch to keep track of metrics. And it has something called Auto-Follow that automatically adjusts the resistance during spin classes based on your fitness goals.

The new Tread is a slightly more affordable version of the previous Peloton Tread, now called the Tread+.

Ideally, the new Tread should fit in even the tiniest New York City apartment. It takes nearly a foot off of the Tread+ dimensions, and it's meant to be smaller than most couches at 68 inches x 33 inches x 62 inches. (You might have to get rid of your couch, but hey, sacrifice is part of life.)

While both additions have a lot to offer, they don’t exactly make Peloton's products affordable.

The Bike+ comes in at $2,495, dropping the original Bike to $1,895, and will be available Sept. 9. The Tread retails for $2,495, and will be available in early 2021. Peloton is also offering a trade-in program, where in exchange for a working original Bike, users receive $700 in credit toward the Bike+, the Yoga & Toning accessories package, and a complimentary pickup service for their old Bike.

If you don’t have a Peloton, the company's two-tiered membership might be the access point you’re looking for. While all-access membership comes in at $39/month, Peloton also offers an app-only experience for $12.99/month. The all-access membership can only be purchased with a bike, and includes the app service and family accounts, while the app experience offers Peloton's full library of equipment-free content.
